Hello there!

My name is Akayla and I am the owner of Happy Dance Bakery! How does one end up starting a dog treat business you might ask? Well, all my life I have loved animals, and grew up surrounded by dogs. I was taught that our four legged friends aren’t just pets, they are family who love and care for us just as much as we do them.

I always looked forward to the day I would have my own furry companion, and we got her in October 2021 after the quarantine, our Myla Mae. During that time, my boyfriend and I were brainstorming business ideas, he brought up dog treats and I thought, “I could do that!” So I did! And now we had the perfect little taste tester.

After doing a lot of research and learning about the dog food industry, I realized how little these treat companies actually care about the health of our dogs. The filler ingredients, artificial flavors, preservatives, and not to mention the amount of dogs with allergies or sensitive tummy’s out there! It makes it hard to find something you feel good about feeding them. 

So, I made it my mission to make tasty dog treats made with REAL food, even you could eat them! All our treats are made with minimal ingredients so you know exactly what your dog is eating, no paragraph long ingredient labels! We are able to give our treats a long shelf life without preservatives by dehydrating them after their initial bake, this way we can keep the treats as natural and heathy as possible!
